Beicip-Franlab Asia (BFA) has successfully organized the Deepwater Workshop 2018 on 4th October 2018 at The Empire Hotel & Country Club, Brunei Darussalam. This inaugural workshop was officiated by PETRONAS Carigali Brunei Ltd (PCBL) Country Head, Mr Mohamad Othman. Featuring Victor Alcobia, Beicip-Franlab’s Director of Project and Global Deepwater Specialist, the event has successfully achieved its agenda of showcasing BFA’s global deepwater experience including play-based exploration, seismic reservoir characterization, integrated field development plan, and reserve certification.

A few technical topics have been presented during the morning session including Technical Due Diligence on KCD, Model Enhancement Studies, and Upside Potential Enhancement. The sharing session continues at noon, discussing Petroleum Data Infrastructure, Global Asset Evaluation and Certification Experience, and Global Deepwater Project Experience.

The event has successfully become a platform for technical discussions, exchange of lessons learned, and best practices including identifying priorities and potentials to maximize deepwater asset’s values. BFA will continue its commitment to provide initiatives in the journey to position Asia an emerging hub of deepwater portfolio.
